About Circula
Circula is a German watch brand based in Pforzheim, a city located in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany and is long renowned for its watchmaking and jewellery heritage. The name Circula is derived from the circular motion of wheels within mechanical movements, reflecting the brand’s dedication to traditional horology. Founded in 1955 by Heinz Huber, the brand built its reputation through producing reliable watches rooted in German craftsmanship. Today, Circula stands as a strong example of a family-run brand, carrying forward more than 70 years of watchmaking heritage.
Circula is currently led by Cornelius Huber, the third generation of the Huber family, who has taken the brand further since 2019 with a strong focus on producing modern mechanical tool watches. Under his leadership, the company emphasizes functional design, durability and high-quality manufacturing. With this renewed direction, Circula has evolved from a brand primarily known in Germany into one with a growing global presence.
All Circula watches are assembled, regulated and tested in Pforzheim, earning the “Made in Germany” designation and reflecting the brand’s commitment to German manufacturing standards. At the same time, Circula complements its German manufacturing with proven Swiss movement technology, using high-quality calibres from Sellita and La Joux-Perret - both widely respected for their reliable and well-regarded movements worldwide.
Circula places a strong emphasis on sustainability, focusing on creating durable watches designed to last a lifetime while minimising environmental impact. The brand works to reduce waste as much as possible through responsible production, short supply chains and uses eco-conscious materials such as vegetable-tanned leather for its straps. Circula is actively working towards more ambitious sustainability goals, including the development of cases, dials and hands made from recycled materials as part of its long-term commitment to environment and responsible watchmaking.
